Emeritec Hydro Vac

How Much Debris and Water Can Our Vac Trucks Carry?

Advanced Equipment Specifications

Each of our Vac Trucks is equipped with a 12-cubic yard debris tank, ensuring substantial capacity for even the most demanding projects. This large debris tank allows us to handle significant amounts of material without the need for frequent emptying, making our operations more efficient.

Furthermore, our trucks come prepared with a separate 1200-gallon water tank. This large water reserve is crucial for the hydro-excavating process, where high-pressure nozzles shoot water to break up soil and allow for easy vacuuming. Starting the day with a full water tank, our trucks are typically equipped to handle a full day’s work without the need to refill, saving time and maintaining productivity on-site.

Dealing with Different Soils and Conditions

The actual amount of material and water in the debris tank can vary depending on the soil conditions encountered during the excavation. For instance, in areas with gravel or soft dirt, the debris tank might end up with around 10 cubic yards of material and 2 cubic yards of water. This is because the loose soil allows for more efficient excavation and less water retention.

Conversely, in environments with hard, compact material, the mixture in the debris tank can approach a 50/50 ratio of material to water. These conditions require more water to break up the soil, which results in higher water content in the debris tank.

Real-World Applications and Efficiency

The real strength of our Hydro Vacuum trucks lies in their ability to perform consistently across various projects. Whether it’s uncovering underground utilities without causing damage or managing large-scale excavation projects efficiently, our trucks are equipped to handle the demands of any job. This capability not only ensures the safety and precision of excavation but also significantly reduces the time and labor typically required for such tasks.

The Benefit of High-Pressure Nozzles:

A key component of our hydro-excavating process is the high-pressure nozzles that effectively break up soil. This method allows for a more controlled and focused excavation, ensuring that only the necessary material is removed, which preserves the surrounding infrastructure and minimizes environmental impact.

Conclusion:

Understanding the capacity and functionality of our Hydro Vac trucks is crucial for anyone involved in construction, utility work, or any field requiring precise excavation. With our advanced equipment, we are not just performing tasks; we are setting new standards in the industry, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
